Activity in construction is already at or near record levels. And it is projected to continue to grow as Canada builds toward its net‑zero targets.

Benefits of the program

Construction Career Pathways can prepare you for an exciting career in the sector through training, experience, and paid employment in a wide range of jobs. The jobs run across the construction sector, and many are pathways to high-paying careers in the skilled trades.

Who’s eligible

Our program offers 16 weeks of entry-level employment in the construction sector and is ideally suited for the following:

  • women, members of Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities, persons with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, and those who identify as LGBTQ2+; people from equity-deserving groups who want to work in construction
  • young people seeking work experience
  • individuals looking for employment or looking to change careers
